Using the Intertwine Tool in Adobe Illustrator
I’ve just spent the morning having a play with the new #intertwine tool in #AdobeIllustrator, and it’s pretty epic.
To create weaving sections of your design, all you have to do is select the two paths, go to Object - Intertwine - Make and just draw around the portions you want to swap the order of.
From what I can tell it seems to work sort of like a clipping mask, so if you have large strokes like this design you have to draw enough space otherwise they cut off. But using this tool means that you can edit strokes and fills all at once, and you can even move path points after the fact! Which is a huge time saver. 👍
