A film about the work of an investigator. An experienced detective managed to figure out a difficult case, exposing the perpetrators of the crime. Not far from the village is the old fortress Kara-Tair, an abode of silence, secrets and... many snakes. No one disturbs her peace except the snake catcher Mirzaev. But it is to the fortress that the thread of the crime stretches.
