Thousands of Hungarians have taken to the streets of Budapest, demanding an end to what they describe as the government’s state media “propaganda.” The protests, organized by the opposition TISZA party, accuse Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's government of using the state broadcaster, MTVA, as a biased mouthpiece. The protest marks a growing challenge to Orbán's dominance, as frustrations rise over Hungary’s media landscape. To discuss this, host Benjamin Lee was joined by Magdalena Jakubowska, Vice-president of the Res Publica Foundation, and Péter Balázs, Former European Commissioner and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
