A small border town in Tajikistan, the 30s. A participant in the civil war, Izzat Karimov, who has just returned to his homeland to work as a director of a local school, learns that an attack is being prepared on the city by Basmachi who secretly crossed the border and arrived to pick up the gold once hidden by their emir in an old mosque. The former Red Army soldier, together with his comrade-in-arms Gusev, assemble a small detachment of local residents and deal with bandits.
