The leader of the Dakota tribe, the Sharp-eyed Falcon, his wife Raven Wing and two warriors are the only survivors of the entire tribe. They take refuge in the Black Hills. They want to join a group of Cheyenne tribes led by Chief Little Wolf. On the way to the Cheyenne, the Raven Wing is insidiously killed by white bandits. The Sharp-eyed Falcon swears revenge and goes to Tanglewood, where, as he suspects, is the murderer of his wife, the bandit Bashan, a servant of the miner Harrington. He meets with honest Sheriff Patterson, who is ready to help him.
