How to Change DEFAULT TRANSITION in Premiere Pro
To begin I added 2 videos to my timeline and I want to apply default transition to them.
Just select all videos and press ctrl + d to apply default transition.
You can change the default transition.
Go to effects and expand video transitions, then go under slide and right-click on any transition you want and select set selected as default transition.
Now if you select your clips and press ctrl + d, the selected transition will be applied to all your clips.
One final note is that you can change the length of default transition.
To do that, go to edit, preferences, timeline.
Now set video transition default duration to a value you want and click ok.
Mine was 30 frames so the duration is one second for a 30-fps clip and I changed it to 60 so it takes 2 seconds for transition to finish for a 30-fps clip.
