Viet Nam Joins WIPO's "Books for Blind" Marrakesh Treaty
WIPO Director General Daren Tang welcomes Viet Nam's accession to the Marrakesh Treaty. With Viet Nam's membership, the Treaty now covers 117 countries. The WIPO-administered Marrakesh Treaty makes the production and international transfer of specially-adapted books for people with blindness or visual impairments easier – expanding their learning, education and leisure opportunities.
Ambassador Le Thi Tuyet Mai, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations Office, the World Trade Organization, and other international organizations in Geneva, deposited the instrument of accession on December 6, 2022.
