In the 20th century, several Central European countries found themselves under Soviet dominance. Among them was then-Czechoslovakia, which experienced the Kremlin’s violent designs first-hand in 1968. Decades later, as Ukraine faces similar aggression from Moscow, the government in Prague is at the forefront of efforts to help Ukraine, but why are other countries with a similar past – Hungary or Slovakia – going a totally different way? To discuss the issue, we are joined by Tomáš Zdechovský, a Czech MEP from the European People's Party.
