If I want to change the text inside an image, I can drop it into Adobe Illustrator (not Photoshop) and then hit…
Type - Retype (Beta) - Edit Text
Then I just tap the portion of the image I want to change and select the typeface with the closest match. Once I’m happy, all I have to do is double click on the image and I can now replace the old type with live text!
Now look, it’s not perfect. If the text is at an angle or it has a lot of styling then it’s not great.
But could this be the start a movement? Will we one day have a piece of super-software that combines Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign all in one? 🤞
